|
|
It would be nice to have a simple checkbox in the Archive settings to exclude Target (or Source) files from being archived.
Yes, I know I can exclude them with the Filter function. However since I have multiple pairs (which frequently change) I always would need to make sure that I update the filters accordingly, otherwise I might still end up with Archive files and/ or VV throws and error (if the filter path is not contained in any pair)
The reason for this:
The Backup(s) are on external HDD's and Laptops. Both are sometimes used as "on the road" access to files. However never used to change files. But since some software change the file even if you only open it, VV detects a change and gives me a Archive file (this is highly annoying on some Access database files which are huge) |

I modify my wish slightly:
Instead of having the (existing) Check box for
"Enable Archiving"
Split into 2 boxes:
"Enable Archiving for Source"
"Enable Archiving for Target"
This should be very intuitive to use, no confusions and little extra space required

Hi, right now if you do not specify an archive folder for target (or for source), then target files are not archived... _________________ --
