I am using VV-Free v1.0.4 to synchronize 2 large folders. My comparison method is set to both CRC + Date/TimeStamp. Using "Update & Prune Target" method, I perform a synchronization which take 20 mins but it eventually completes successfully.
To validate this procedure, I usually close VV & restart it up again immediately. I do not change anything in either folder and I repeat the above synch-request. Surprisingly VV then spends another 20 mins repeating the same steps as above!! How can that be??
Surely the second time I ran VV, there should be nothing for it to do as both folders are still synchronized. There was no change in neither source & target folders; yet VV spends another 20 mins copying/deleting files from source to target!!
Could you please explain to me that strange behavior? |

Hi, use the ViceVersa comparison window where files are shown side-by-side to check why files are still not matched after the initial copy, thanks _________________ --

I performed 2 successive synchronizations of the same folder one after the other, without changing their contents in between. Yet VICE-VERSA was still not indicating that the 2 directories matched each other - see attachments.
Any idea why?
