Each time I load a profile the comparison stage only scans a fixed and small portion of the folders to be copied from the Source (back up method). I am working on a Windows 7 PC networked (wired) to a Windows 7 laptop. Why won't the scan complete? I have set the file size to no maximum but it makes no difference. Files have changed beyond the limit of scan but they are not recognised.

That's strange, can you please post your profile settings and some examples of files / folders not scanned?
thanks

**********************************************

Are some of the exclusions hindering the scan. On my first backup (which did complete successfully) I noticed that "My Web Sites" (a folder created by Microsoft Expression Web" web authoring software) was not included. Is the presence of this folder compromising the scan .... on the other hand why didn't it do that the first time?

Anyway the folders not scanned (95% of them) are just regular data folders in My Documents ... nothing special.

These filters could affect inclusion of files and subfolders:

- Exclude hidden files
- Exclude system files
- Exclude read-only files

- Exclude empty subfolders
- Exclude hidden subfolders
- Exclude system subfolders
- Exclude read-only subfolders

thanks
