|
|
I have been using the email notification function successfully for several months now. However last week VV suddenly stopped generating and sending emails for all of my jobs except one, posting the following error:
The RCPT command failed. The specified account does not exist.
The settings are the same on all jobs, including the one that completes successfully. As far as I can tell the jobs complete normally, it is only the email notification that is failing. Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

does it work with a different e-mail account?

The test message works fine on all profiles using different email addresses. It seems to only fail when automatically sending at the end of the job. What I'm finding difficult to understand is why it would suddenly stop working, and why it will send successfully on one job and fail on others. |

Could this be due to too many e-mails sent via that account? It could be a security settings of the mail server.

There are four jobs that run daily and send an email after each one. They run successively rather than concurrently so it can't be that my mail server is rejecting them out of hand. Also, I'm the mail administrator and I haven't made any changes to the account.
But this doesn't explain why one job works and the others don't. It also doesn't explain why it would suddenly stop working.
I'm finding this type of support frustrating. Please just close this ticket. Or delete it. I'll find a solution on my own. |
