I wrote at your support but I did not get any answer!
By the way in this forum , accessible only by administrator , you say that vvengine 2.0 beta can be downloaded on the vvengine page; But in the vvengine page there is no trace of vvengine 2.0 ???? I'ts quite confusing here !!!!
P.S Does vvengine beta, once downloaded, run with vversa 2.5 build 2501 64 bit ?
please help me I've to keep the vvengine home page to make it run , that's not normal what can I do ? give me please the right link to download vvengine 2.0 beta !! _________________ Aries58net |

|
|
We used VV Engine for many years on our Win 2003 server and no problems. Ever since we migrated to 2008 R2 - 64 bit, the profiles never can never run properly and always have an error that it can not find the target on the remote side.
config is the VVEngine running on Win 2008 R2 and trying to sync with a server across the WAN. Fail to establish the connection every time.
When we run the profile manually, it kicks right off and works fine.
Is 2008 R2 not supported properly and authenticating incorrectly?
New version address this maybe? |

I think this is a network connectivity / authentication issue.
What scheduling settings are you using in VVEngine?
Are you using mapped drives?
Are you running VVEngine as service?
Under which account?
Is User Account Control enabled on the server?
thanks _________________ --

Settings from VVE are below. We are using the full UNC paths to all sources and targets. There is a drive letter mapped to the root of the remote source on this machine for other uses. Engine is running as a service. VVEngine is running while logged in tot he local Administrator account on the server. UAC is turned off on this server and set to "Never Notify Me"

Is the service running under the admin account or the local system account?
What scheduling options are you using for this profile?
thanks _________________ --

I just checked and it is running as the Admin account.
Options for schedule are to run every night at specified time, retry every 5 minutes on fail.

Try using the option:
"Connect using default user's credentials"
in profile settings -> folders -> network
