Hi,

I am wondering if this is at all possible.

basically i have a folder setup, along the lines of:

C:\Replication\Folder1\FileFolder\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder1\FileFolder\
C:\Replication\Folder2\FileFolder\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder2\FileFolder\
C:\Replication\Folder3\FileFolder\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder3\FileFolder\
C:\Replication\Folder4\FileFolder\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder4\FileFolder\

i want to run two replication jobs.

the first job will replicate out all of Folder's, but exclude FileFolder.

the second job, will ignore the root. so

\\<server>\<share>\Replication\

but will replicate FileFolder into the directories.

\\<server>\<share><Replication>\Folder1<contents ignored>\FileFolder

so essentially one job maintaining the root. and the second job maintaining that particular subfolder, there are many more subfolders, but this specific one needs to be dealt with differently.

is the above possible?

Thanks

Hi, it should be possible if you setup 2 profiles with

C:\Replication\Folder1\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder1\
C:\Replication\Folder2\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder2\
C:\Replication\Folder3\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder3\
C:\Replication\Folder4\ <to> \\<server\<share>\Replication\Folder4\

the first profile excludes \FileFolder with a subfolder exclusion, the second does not include subfolders in the profile

thanks

Thanks for the response,

i didn't write up my requirements correct the first time.

i currently have a replication job (Backup)

that has

C:\Replication\ \\<server>\<share>\Replication

this replicates out numerous folders in as an example Folder1-4

so it looks like
C:\Replication\ReplicatedFolder1 \\<server>\<share>\Replication\ReplicatedFolder1
C:\Replication\ReplicatedFolder2 \\<server>\<share>\Replication\ReplicatedFolder2
C:\Replication\ReplicatedFolder3 \\<server>\<share>\Replication\ReplicatedFolder3
C:\Replication\ReplicatedFolder4 \\<server>\<share>\Replication\ReplicatedFolder4

each of those folders has a variety of sub folders. however i would like to NOT replicate particular subfolder, in job #1

in job #2, i would like not to replicate anything in the root, so Folder1-4, or any of the sub folders in there, except the 1 sub folder.

is this possible?

Thanks
