Hey,

I am using the same profile on different computers (with the same folder structure) to backup my data. I sync the profiles between the two computers.
Today I tried to enable email notification if the process runs on an error. It worked fine on the first computer, but on the second it fails with the following error message:

Code:
[ERROR]The password was invalid. - 535 Incorrect authentication data

When I open the profile settings in ViceVersa the password field is blank although I have entered the password correctly on the other computer (test email worked as well on the first computer).

Until now using the same profile on different computers worked great, but this seems to be some kind of show stopper - or is there a way around it?

Thanks for your help/ideas in advance!
Patrick

Hello

When using the profile on a different computer the password must be re-entered (only the first time). This is a very important security feature to avoid that someone can grab your profile from your machine and discover the passwords you entered in the profile.

thanks

Hello

Thanks for your answer!
But when I re-enter the password on the second computer and sync it back to the first, I have to re-re-enter it on that computer, right?

That would be some kind of vicious circle or is there a way to break free from it?

Thanks!
