Hi,
I'm running viceversa pro 2.0.0.8 in Backup (Mirror source to target) mode in Windows 2000 Server and schedule it to run every 1 hour.
Can we actually working on the files that are being copied/accessed by ViceVersa?
Users receive some error messages like file is read-only or locked while vice versa is copying the file.
Is there any solution to this? |

Hello
While copying a file, the file will need to be locked. If the file is very large or the connection very slow, users may experience a period of time where they cannot access the file for writing (changing); during the copying the file can only be "read".
This issue is solved on Win XP or 2003 server using VSS. See http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item33.htm
Unfortunately VSS is not available on Win 2000 Server. _________________ --
