2010-09-23 16:22:03 : [ERROR] "\\server\blah" is not accessible using the credentials entered in the profile settings. Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
2010-09-23 16:22:03 : Exit Code: 2. Execution not completed. [ERROR]
I'm getting this error constantly now and I can't figure out what's going on.
The situation is I have 2 servers, syncing 1 folder so it's not very complicated however it just will not work.
Both VV and VVEngine are installed as services logged on as the local administrator for the source server, the access to the target server was originally the local administrator but now I have set-up a separate user which has never been logged on but I'm getting the same error.
Both users are completely different as the servers are on a workgroup not a domain so they are separate.
I did have a search around to try and find some answers but didn't come up with much, does anyone have any ideas?
Just tried doing it manually using Vice Versa and the same profile that VVEngine is accessing (same credentials) and its working fine! |

For anyone that is interested in a solution to this, I found this post on here relating to the checking:
Quote: | Please try the following in VVengine:
- activate the scheduling option "Check if source and target aqre accessible on the server using PING command only"
- disactivate the option "Monitor target and run when file changes are detected"
please let me know if this works
thanks! |
It would appear that if you don't use ping only, it locks out any further ability for the application to connect and therefore sync the files.
This isn't 100% as I have only just come across it but I will spent a bit of time to confirm this next week. |

Hi,
a) under which account are you running the VVEngine service ?
b) Did you specify any login info in the ViceVersa profile settings -> folders -> network ? [ Which may be in conflict with a) ]
A way to test the cause of this message is to run a batch before the ViceVersa profile runs (profile settings -> advanced settings -> scripts) with the following command:
NET USE
this will list all network connections established on the server (the output will show in the ViceVersa log specified in profile settings -> execution)
Let me know what you find out,
thank you _________________ --

a) local administrative account on the source machine
b) yes, local administrative account on the target machine
Net use is all well and good but there are no users logged on to either source or target and therefore no network drives are mapped or any sessions open, including IPC. |

Did you specify the account as server\account to make a difference between local and remote? _________________ --

Yes I did.
Incidentally this setup is now running perfectly and has been for the last 3 days so I think it's a combination of 2008 and the ping check which has solved it. |

Yes, it looks like monitoring without PING establishes a VVEngine connection which is then in conflict with ViceVersa when it is launched, but that connection is not reported by NET USE? _________________ --
