I have 2 Windows 2003 SP1 servers connected via VPN. I want to sync specific folders in real time. I have VVLauncher running and have VSS enabled. I am looking for suggestions to get the most from VV and am concerned about 2 people working on the same file at the same time.

TIA

John

When a file is changed on both sides in between syncs VV will identify this change as a file conflict. See http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item35.htm
Having real-time on a VPN is hard, it will depend on the data change rate and connection speed. You can use the VVLauncher tool for real-time in ViceVersa. VVlauncher is installed when you install ViceVersa PRO 2.

I tried using VV over the VPN but due to the total size of the data 33+ gigs it would take VV over 8 minutes to scan the directory before it would make a change. Unfortunately this is not quick enough. I am currently testing DFS on my 2003 servers instead. Great product though.
