Decrypt Utility

A decrypt utility would be VERY useful to decrypt individual files or even whole folders, etc. It becomes extremely annoying having to create new profiles to decrypt anything.

The complicated and time consuming nature of decryption in VV is a HUGE drawback and it is the sole reason why I only use it on a limited basis. Almost all other backup programs handle encryption and decryption much easier.

As a side note I did notice in some thread that there was mention a few years back about just such a utility being implemented, I wonder what ever happened to that project? Is this something that is in the works?

one of the reasons we did not create such utility so far is that it's possible to use ViceVersa to decrypt the files. You can use the encrypted folder as source and decrypt them to a non-encrypted folder. Have you tried that?
