I have just bought a license to run ViceVersa Pro build 2.5.0.1 on a Desktop running Win98SE (I know, I know; it's old and all, but...) and on a laptop running Win Vista.
The problem I am running into appears on the Win98SE machine but not on the Win Vista. The problem being that I am unable to save or load profiles. When I try either function, I simply do not get either "Open" or "Save As" dialog boxes. However, if I create a profile on my Vista machine, then copy it to the Win98SE machine, I can modify and save the changes over the 'existing' profile.
The problem was addressed in two previous posts:
and
"http://www.tgrmn.com/web/forum/viewtopict157.htm".
They both described my exact situation. On both my computers the "My documents" folder are too mapped to a drive, in my case "D:\".
The problem is said to have been fixed in versions subsequent to VVPro2 Build 2008. But I am still experiencing it or, at the vey least, something akin to it.
Thanks for taking the time to look into this. |

|

I was afraid that was the case.
As much as I appreciate the quick reply, I find dispointing the fact that for all the reading I did on the TGRMN site, I didn't find any reference to this still existing issue. There should be a disclaimer associated with the statement indicating that the software is supported under Windows 98.
What I find even more disapoiting is the fact that I haven't found on the site any reference to a work-around solution I have stumbled upon.
As it would take some doing to do so, I won't post this workaround unless someone shows interest in it.
Having said all that, thanks again for the quick reply. |
