|
|
I was trying to sync files by using the Replication/Augment Target option from an external drive connected to my PC to an unRaid server that I mentioned in my synch/moving thread a few days ago. It keeps telling me there's not enough space on the target but according to my calculations, there's roughly 1TB left and only 56 gigs are needed...
Any ideas?
Thanks

196,000 files on roughly 29 gigs I think.

Hello
can you please set a profile log (profile settings -> execution) and then send the entire log of a run with this error to support ?

Okie dokie schmokie, I should be able to handle it.
Do you want me to finish running it? It's going to be a a lot of error messages but I have no problem with it.
Which address and attention to whom?
It'll be a few hours because it's still running some stuff..
Thanks

Thanks, will do
Hey, what are the chances of a drag and drop interface like Laplink but of course, without making the program as finicky as Laplink

Hi George,
in VV you can drag folders to the source or target and drag files from source / target to the other side in the comparison window, is that what you mean?

Hmm, probably. Damn, I'm such a dumbass but actually, I think I MAY have seen this before but forgotten it.
I will give it a shot. IF you do it this way, does it save the profile in any way or you don't need to mess with it 'cause it IS faster to do it this way?
Also, can you reverse so your SOURCE is on right and your TARGET on left? Just a habit I have to do it that way around.
Anyway, my error transfer just finished although I'm not sure if I somehow interrupted it trying to take a screen capture of it but I'll still send you guys the log and include a couple of captures and if needed, I'll do it again.
Thanks

I feel stupid but how do I get to the comparison window? I get there if I do compare but then it starts counting the files in the source and target and that's not what I want..I just want to drag and drop folders...
Thanks |

VV won't save the profile unless you instruct it to do that.

Yes, but only from the comparison windows menu List -> Switch source and target

The comparison window it's the one that opens after you click on Compare. If you want to drop folders you can do it on the main window too, in the source and target fields.

Can you post a few lines with some errors ?

Stop the presses! I think I've found the problem and I don't think it's your proggy. I'll report back in a few days once I'm sure...like Arnie says, I'll be back!
Anyway, HOW do I get to the compare window without it starting to count the files in the source and target?
Am I really that stupid or am I missing something? Wait, don't answer that! I'm really sensitive and it might hurt my feelings... |

Alright, if you can, mark this topic as resolved because I think the issue was with the storage server I am moving it to, the unRaid. If you want more info about it, I can explain or link to the thread on another site.
It WAS full but only partially but the way it was set up (AND I screwed something up when installing a new drive), it wouldn't accept more data although there WAS more room.
So, to summarize, it does NOT seem like the problem was with the software
Thanks for the help

I still don't understand how I can get two windows side by side (or however) and drag and drop folders like in Laplink (which is an INFERIOR product by the way. I just happen to like the interface).
Could you guide me step by step please...
Thanks
