|

Guys, my problem is that I have a problem with READING comprehension so when you explain, please make it REALLY simple.
Normally I move information FROM my computer to my back up storage which is my NAS but now I'm doing something different and not sure how to do it.
Usually, I syncronize (I think) the files and I believe it makes everything on the NAS look like what's on the computer because the computer IS the one that's updated and so on. This way it also deletes what's on the NAS that is NOT on the computer which is the way I want it as I want the files on the computer TO BE THE ones that decide how the backup is going to look.
Well, now, I am migrating my storage and selling the NAS. I have already bought a bigger storage unit (unRaid) and have already moved the info from my COMPUTER to the unRaid.
Now, I want to move the stuff from the NAS to the unRaid BUT, since the stuff on the unRaid came from the COMPUTER which is the UPDATED stuff, when I move the information from the NAS to the unRaid, I want it to make sure the TARGET (the unRaid) decides IF anything needs to be moved. More than likely little or nothing should be moved because I normally do NOT work off the NAS and thus, nothing there should be more updated than the Computer but you never know and I've lost enough info many times by moving the wrong info and so on.
Can someone tell me what I need to do?
Thanks

Thanks support.
Too bad I was struggling with the stinkin' laplink for close to ten years before I found this
LapLink kept crashing all the time telling me it couldn't do this or it couldn't do that. ViceVersa Pro just keeps on chugging. Sweet proggy and one of the best I've bought.
I WOULD like to see a laplink like interface though but that's it.
Thanks again
