I recently bought VV Engine with ViceVersa Pro.

VVP works fine.

However when I use the same profiles in VVE then I receive the message that the Target cannot be found.

I changed the Target folder names from z:\foldername to the \\computername\foldername as suggested in your help but without success.

(The latter does not work with VV Pro either)
Can anyone volunteer to help?

I get Target can not be found.

A password isn't needed for that PC / User.

Would I need to use
\\computername\c$\foldername??

This is a laptop that is on the home network.
I can access it on Windows Explorer as drive z:
or on Remote Desktop using the IP Address and the login.

On a command line (CMD) type NET USE. It will report the UNC path for each mapped drive, e.g. :

Code:
Status     Local      Remote                      Network

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK           Z:        \\VISTA-PC\Public         Microsoft Windows Network

The command completed successfully.

Instead of Z:\ , try using the "Remote" path (aka UNC path), in this example \\VISTA-PC\Public

The same name as that used in Windows Explorer, setup in the "Share" option, and the same name set up as the PC name.

\\HP-Laptop\full directory path to folder name

\\HP-Laptop\full directory path to folder name

What happens if you paste this same in the windows explorer address bar? Is the share reachable?

I cant try this for a couple of days ... however, using the path name in Remote Desktop doesnot work .. I have to use the ip address (and "no" .. using the IP address doesnt work in VVE)

I am having the same problem. contacted support and was told to try changing the service since on a server to a user and not just the local system account. That didn't make any difference. I also had it as a mapped drive and tried it with the complete path name and still no luck even with different combinations of the different suggesrtions. VV scheduler is working fine for me. So I just want my money back for the VV engine. But, no one is emailing me back.
