Thanks, can you please activate the log if not already done (in profile settings -> execution), make VV crash and send the log to support@tgrmn.com with the files ViceVersa.dmp and ViceVersa.rpt , thanks _________________ --

Hi, I have the exact same problem.
When trying to compare two folders (one on USB disk connected to laptop, the other on a Netgear ReadyNAS network drive), Vice Versa crashed at the end of the file count before displaying the file comparison screen.
The runtime error points to problems with Microsoft C++.
I was able to replicate the same error running Vice Versa Free on a different computer (Vista-based Media Center instead of Windows laptop), so tend to believe that the error has something to do with the data sources (USB drive or network drive), not the computer that runs the Vice Versa software.
Any idea what causes this error and how it can be avoided/resolved?
Thanks much in advance. |

I've fixed the issue by installing the latest release (2.5) of viceversa. No more crash. Still wonder what the problem with the previous release was _________________ Aries58net |
