Can files from one location be selected by a date range and moved to a specified location? The goal is to get older files moved from the active files area and stored in an archive location where they will be accessed at need.

Hello,

that's currently not possible, sorry, VV does not delete the source files. However we'd like to add this feature in a future release, since we had many requests about adding the moving files functionality.

thanks

I guess I screwed up the testing somewhere. I thought that move from source to target was working in the trial version. Anyway, the sooner the better Smile

Edit:
Never mind, I figured it out. Create a blank source, set the filters appropriately, set archiving options to move from target instead of copying, execute Backup job. The backup attempts to delete the affected files, but archiving intercepts and moves them instead.

It would still be easier to have a delete option, though.
