We have a file server with around 800Gb of data on it. What is the best way to set up a mirroring job for this. Should I set up individual jobs for each of the main folders or do it as one large job. Which way would be most efficient. Also what would be your recommended settings for how often to run the replication process. This is quite a busy server with a lot of changes going on. Should I set the replication process to run when changes are detected or just set it to run at set intervals. Your advice would be much appreciated |

Hello Toby,
Due to the amount of files/data, I would setup individual jobs for each of the main folders. In this way the load on the server is minimized.
You can then use VVEngine to run the jobs sequentially: http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm
I would setup the replication process to run at set intervals. I think Real-Time would be to heavy for the server.
