using XP's built in folder level encryption VV with VVEngine fails to sync, yet if I manually de-crypt, the re-encrypt individual files, it syncs perfectly.
Does anyone know a VV friendly folder level encryption tool?

Hello
What issues are you having when using XP encryption? You could use the ViceVersa encryption alternatively.

the question I need to know is will VV encryption secure the local files (d:\userdata) in event of the laptop being lost or stolen, currently they are secured with XP encryption which causes issues with VV Engine and VV Pro.

No, VV will protect the 'target' files (i.e. the copy is encrypted), it won't change / encrypt the source. thanks _________________ --
