I've been using ViceVersa Pro version 2015 for several years to move/sync data between my computers located in two locations by way of a portable hard drive. I've never had any problem until today when I tried to copy newer files on my source computer to replace the older ones on my target drive. On each and every transfer attempt on several files I get the message "Unable to create or Replace (target file location) Access is Denied" I can't figure out any reason for this change. I did not have any difficulty copying new single files from the source to the target only those that already existed. Any ideas?

This could be due to file permissions. Are you now using Windows 7 or Vista? thanks

I recently replaced my XP system with Windows 7 but I think I have used ViceVesa on many of these files since then.

You got me directed to the right area. I found that some reason I did not have permission to write files on the external drive. Once corrected ViceVersa worked OK.

One other change that I made prior to noticing this problem was that I upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Perhaps that caused this to occur .

Go to your external drive properties and then allow full control to EVERYONE. That seems to solve the probrlem for on Win 7
