Could you please tell me, what this error means and what has been done to prevent this?
It comes up during Compare and Execution. I dont use archive.
Can that be somesthing with the integrated email-notification?

how many files are you comparing between source and target ? Maybe it's an out-of-memory error.
thanks |
1'420'715 (254.35GB) is that to much?

It depends on how much free memory is available... I would try splitting the job into multiple (2?) profiles. thanks _________________ --

I can try it. But that cannot be the solution. For my customer, to handle more than one notification for one backup is very unconfortable and makes the whole backup-conncept unstable. By the way, the error-message should be more specific.
Due the fact, that the storage-consumation worldwide is growing very fast, you should solve this issue.

Oh, this problem makes the backup very complex. I want a backup from the whole disk (device). If i decide to spilt the backup, i cannot backup the device. That means i have to backup folders, but when my customer creates a new folder, unfortunately this folder will unbackuped. If i split it with filtering, i have to survey the whole backup very intensively, otherwise it can be that the system becomes 'out-of-memory', if some files with a specific extension grows.

After some tests, this problem kills our whole backup-concept.
We backup (mirror) the whole disc to a san-device. And we only copy
changed files. if we split the backup, in the target gets all files deleted, which are not in the splittet backup-set!
And to mirror folders is not possible, there are to many folders to handle it manually. The server has 2GB Memory (it's only a fileserver), is that really to small? |
