Hello,

I've just updated from ViceVersa 2.0 to 2.5 on a Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2. I'm essentially mirroring data from a local volume and a couple of servers on the network to an Iomega StorCenter ix2.

When the mirror completes, the Output log display:

-- Done: 3,921 (3.39GB) Err: 0 (0) Skipped: 0 (0) Tot: 3,921 (3.29GB)--
-- Average Tranfer Rate: 3.24MB/sec -- Elapsed Time: 17 min 51 sec
Re-comparing...

At this stage the mirror appears to be complete and I click the 'Close' button on the main screen - the application then hangs (Not Responding).

Any advice would be much appreciated.

ViceVersa doesn't actually hang - it just looks like it! After about 20/25 minutes the application regains responsiveness, so I guess this is the time it takes for it to do any 'final housekeeping' - some visual feedback in the Output window would be helpful I think.

Apologies for the incorrect post.

Strange that it took that much to do the re-compare... are you working over a slow connection? Can you post your profile settings please?
thanks

Please find profile below as requested.

I am backing up to an Iomega StorCenter ix2 over a local area network. Note sure if it's fast or slow to be honest.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for your help.

Neil.

I had the same problem with Version 2.0, which is why I upgraded to Version 2.5; hoping to eliminate the hang.

I have waited over a half hour and it neer recovers. I "kill it" through the task manager.

Version 2.0 worked fine from many months, then towards the end of January or the start of February it began hanging after I click on the "Close" button. The bar at the top of the main window remains grayed out and the program just beeps when I try to close it.
