I'm trying to sync a folder on my PC with my NAS. The source/target definition is as follows:

\?\\PC1\INSTALL\ <to> \?\\NAS01\PC1.Backup\INSTALL\

Both folders exist and the paths are correct. The folder on PC1 is shared with other users.

What am I doing wrong? As soon as I remove "\?" fromt the path definitions everything is working fine. Unfortunately I NEED the extended path length...

Oh, by the way: I'm working with ViveVersa Pro Build 2015

Thanks in advance
Toni

Hello Toni,

use \?\\UNC\ for UNC paths:

\?\\UNC\PC1\INSTALL\ <to> \?\\UNC\NAS01\PC1.Backup\INSTALL\

See http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item31.htm

thanks

Just tried this out but failed. Nevertheless I found the solution myself - by accident: The correct path syntax is \\?\UNC\... not \?\\UNC\...

Anyway, thanks
