There is a synchronisation between two servers. When I replace a file with a restore from two days before. I receive an error message:

2010-02-08 14:49:58 : ** Conflict - C:\Inetpub\Ftproot\test.txt (CHANGED) (4B) (8/02/2010 14:47:15) <-> \\srvtel04\Ftproot\test.txt (CHANGED) (4B) (8/02/2010 14:49:33)
2010-02-08 14:49:58 : Exit Code: 5. Execution completed with conflicts. Some files were in conflict. These files need to be reconciled manually. [ERROR]

Is this normal and can I circumvent this?

OK, thanks, did you restore source or target? And were the files matching before restore? If not VV sees that both files have changed in source and in target since last file sync and so considers the mismatch a conflict.
thanks

So before I do a restore, I have to delete the file.

Better to restore in both source and target.
