I have been evaluating VV. I created a text file on source. Have been tracking this file over a week now. It picked it up the day it was created and copied it to target. Today, i went in and modified the file and saved it.
Re-ran VV and it does not pick up the change.
Thoughts?
using version: vvpro 2.5 build 2501 |

Thanks, what do you mean by not picking up the change? Are you using VVLauncher or VVEngine and monitoring for changes? thanks _________________ --

I am having the same issue. For the past week I have been working (daily) on a files at work and at home. I run ViceVersa on both systems and keep them in sync via a USB drive. At first I thought I missed a sync and would continue on that file when I got back (home or work depending) there the next day. I'm more cauctious when I run the sync now and at work this morning, ViceVersa says the USB and the folder on my owrk computer are in sync. If I manually compare them, I can see the file size, date and time stamps on the USB drive (from my work last night) do not match the same file on my computer at work. Now, I use to use a sync program which claimed how "good" it is but I find ViceVersa does at much better job at clearly displaying file comparsions, excluded folders, easily create one job which syncs files from various locations and drives, and allows you to create a simple script you can use to run the sync. However, the key items is the program needs to correctly recognize when files do not match. I owen a copy of the other program but I liked the interface of ViceVersa so much more, I purchased a copy. Don't make me go back to that other program. |

Also, I am running the compare from within ViceVersa and not via a script. I've got plans for the scripts but haven't had a chance to get around to them yet. |

I'm having a similar issue. A file that I purposely deleted in the destination location is marked as "excluded". So I think that it's the reason for not being targeted for copying. I can't figure why that is. I set up no exclude filters in the profile. |
