Hi there, I'm using the trial version of VV Pro and I'm copying files from one NAS drive to another. The idea being that one will act as a backup to the other.
However, I thought I'd copy them all over first. There are a load of files/folders and the space is 115GB. I set it running yesterday morning around 11:00 AM and it is still running now having only done 1.98GB and it estimates 226548 - no typo! - HOURS to complete. That's around 1000 days or 3 years!
I have VV installed on an XP box and it is connected via a GIG switch to the LAN. Both NAS drives are on the same GIG switch (a second one) and the two switches are directly connected via CAT5 and I regularly get high speed throughput.
It started off fast enough and was reporting 5MB/Sec transfer rate for some files (I expect it to be less when there are lots of little files) but at present it is reporting 148bytes/second.
Any thoughts? As if this continues to be the case, the product will not be of great use to me!
Many Thanks |

Just as a follow up - I copied the directories manually and it worked fine. So, LAN issues are not the problem. How does it do the copy? |

Hello
Which version are you using?

Can this be due to small files? What happens if you stop the copy and then restart?
