|
|
I have started getting the message (Not Scanned) next to the directory name in the list of directories that appears in the window after I click on "Compare" for one of my profiles.
Sometimes all three of the directories have that message next to them (in the source and target window) and some times only one or two of the directories have that message. When this happens, the directories are not synched.
I have been using VV pro for years and I have never had this problem. What is causing this, and how can I fix it. |

Hello
this usually happens when in a multi-source/target profile a folder pair is not accessible for scanning.

The folders are there and when this happens, I have to manually synch them, so I know that they are both accessible.
I am not doing this through scheduler, I am manually peerforming the synch, so I can see what the conditions are at the time of the synch. |

Hello
try switching off the option "Continue even if sources/targets are inaccessible" in profile settings->folders, VV will show what the problem with accessing the folders is,

I have that box checked. Below is an image showing the file manager listing of the directories and the VV summary screen.
c:\notscanned.jpg[img]
I thought that I could cut and paste the image, but this forum has some weird thing going on with inserting images, so I am not sure if it worked. I have attached a copy of my settings below:
Profile File: C:\Vice Versa\Ramdisk to Server.fsf
Folders
- "L:\Hydrology Model\" <to> "D:\1290 Sherman Landslide Case\Hydrology Model\" (Include Subfolders)
- "L:\GIS\Mehler Landslide\" <to> "\\Hsi-server-2\gis\Mehler Landslide\" (Include Subfolders)
- "L:\GIS\Sherman Landslide\" <to> "\\Hsi-server-2\gis\Sherman Landslide\" (Include Subfolders)
- Continue even if some source/target folders are inaccessible
Comparison
- Comparison Type: Size and Timestamp
- Ignore 2 seconds difference
Execution
- Method: Backup (Mirror Source to Target)
- No archive for deleted/replaced source files
- No archive for deleted/replaced target files
- Process Priority: Realtime
- Speed: 100 Buffer Size: 2097152
- Copy files even if timestamp changes after initial comparison
- Copy directly to destination file (do not use a temporary file)
- Try to copy files that are in use by other applications
- Copy file/folder permissions |

Hello
dis-activate that option so that ViceVersa PRO stops and gives the reason why the folder is not accessible.
