In the trial version of ViceVersa Plus, I've used the "Force Target" sync method to create a duplicate of the Source in the Target, regardless of whether the Target files are older or newer than those in the Source. I'm not sure of what the equivalent is in the Pro version. Is it Consolidate? References in Help refer to copying newer files, and that's not necessarily what I want to do. |

I tried Backup (Mirror) and do not see the same results in Preview with Pro as with Plus. I have to test comparison folders, and the Source folder deliberately has a file with the same name as a file in the Target fold, but the Source file's filedate/time is earlier. Plus's Force shows in the preview that it will overwrite the Target's file. Pro's Mirror show no action on that file at all.
It's functionality I need because I have a folder with an address book that I always want to match one side of a sync, and that always shows with the date it's accessed on the other computer. Other files that are newer in that folder are free to update older files, but I want the older version of that file. Plus seems to do what I want and Pro doesn't. |

Sorry, you are right!
In PRO you also need to activate the option "Replace newer target files with older source files" which instructs ViceVersa to overwrite target files with source files even if the target files are newer.
The option is in profile settings -> advanced settings

Thank you. That setting did it.
I've found a few differences in Plus and Pro where what appears similar in Plus works differently in Pro. One is the "View" dropdown, where in Plus I believe it simply shows files but doesn't change the sync action. In Pro, the "View" behaves as a filter for the action to be taken, which I prefer. I hope I have that right.
I wondered if there's a way to change the default location for storing a new Profile in Pro. I think Plus continued to use the folder I had been using for other profiles, but Pro wants to default to the location created in My Documents. It's not a big matter, and I can add a shortcut, but I liked the way it worked in Plus. |

Yes, that is correct. In PRO the view behaves as a filter for the action to be taken too.

I do not think it's possible to change it, I was not aware it would always start from My Documents... I have noted this one down, thank you! _________________ --
