Once in a while, VV does not want to overwrite a file from Win7-x64 to Snow Leopard. Even if I quit and restart the comparison, always the same result. VV detects correctly that it should update the file, but the file copying fails (no error message). Other files in the same folders are updated correctly.
This does not happen often, but it happens.

If I copy the file by drag and drop from explorer, no problem (no permission required). This is the way I do this when the problem happens.

Strange that no error message is given ... does ViceVersa behave as if the file was copied correctly?

Maybe this is a problem with File Data Streams ? Did you try settings the option "Do not copy file streams" in profile settings -> advanced settings -> details.

thanks

After the failed copy, the file remains in the comparison window as if nothing has happened. This is actually how I see nothing is copied.

The option to copy permissions is unchecked. Hence the button advanced settings -> details is disabled.

Next time the problem happens, do you have any suggestion to give you a better report?
