Was a solution to this ever found?
I've just encountered it too using 2.5 Build 2501.
Thanks

Hello,
we were never able to reproduce, but we are now working with Astenz on this, are you OK to run the debug version too? If positive please contact us on support@tgrmn.com
thanks

Yep, can do, will email.
I see that it may happen on the same file every time while checking the archive folder.

I agree, maybe its a unique file or folder with a special carracter. Tried to find it but with 11 327 folders its a bit hard to find when you dunno what to look for Rolling Eyes

Ive created a new profile with same Target/Archive (external USB drive) on another computer, same thing.

I am also using long filenames and am currently havng this problem.
I sent an email to support on this earlier today with the log file info.
I'll send the other files (mentioned in this post) as well if needed. However I'm thinking that you'll figure it out when that other user runs the debug version. I'd be willing to run this version too however if you prefer.
For me it hangs when checking file #704 or some such thing... only I don't know what file that might be... and if I did what I should do about it.
Please advise.
I'll stay tunned.

I am having the same problem, The profile runs ok, up to the point of checking archive folder (full check). Vice versa hangs untill manually terminated. Then the invalid argument message appears. I am using the 64 bit version (Build 2501) on Windows Server 2003 X64. I am using the \\?\UNC option for long file paths. Please let me knot if a solution has been found.

Thank You!! Very Happy

I've got the same problem. Have you found a solution?

I have Pro 2.5.2502 and VVEngine 2.0.2002.

If I run the profile manually in Vice Versa Pro I get an error. On the screen I see one message box "Checking archive folder ..." saying "Checking archive file 48" (no buttons) and above that is an error message window "ViceVersa Pro" saying "An invalid argument was encountered". Clicking OK just closes the error box (the window saying "Checking archive..." is still open). I can close the main window (which also seems to close the "Checking archive..." window). The job ends (script runs) and I get the result 0 (= Ok).

When ran in VVEngine the process just hangs forever in the "Checking archive folder (full check) ..." state. When I stop the job manually it seems to do the same thing as above. First I get an error on the screen that VVEngine isn't available, but in a while the page reloads and I have gotten the status 0 (= Ok).

What to do? I really need to use the "Append Source/Taget path to..." and I have got long paths that are hard to eliminate.
