Hi all,

does VV support any means of easing rollout/installation by installing the product (inlcuding license and settings) fully automated?
Thanks,

Armin

Hello ,

it is depending on how you plan to setup VV... the profile settings are kept in a file with extension .fsf and the registration code is in a key the registry.

thanks

After some time I picked up this topic again. the background: we plan to incorporate Viceversa as a component in our software. Our software is installed via a standard Windows Installer (msi) based setup. it is planned, that redundancy (that's where Viceversa comes into play, we use it to update files on a standby server) should be an option while installing.

Looking at how VV is installed, this would mean that I need to automate the setup process (straight through with defaults), somehow suppress VV trying to open your homepage (not possible, our server rooms may, per security policy, not have internet connections, and the resulting error message is annoying), import the license, point VV to a specific .fsf file I do provide, and install the VVLauncher and point it to the fsf as well 8already done, the VVlauncher.ini file is quite easy to understand).

Is it possible to automate the VVpro.exe, which sets up the basic product, to run straight through automatically?

Thanks,

Armin Linder
