Our administrations are concerned by the time taken to originally create and then manage the vice versa profiles (.fsf files).

We are likely to have viceversa installed on 10 - 12 servers and will be sync'ing anywhere up to 60 folders on each server (i.e. 60 source / target folder pairs in the profile).

These are user folders therefore as users join and leave the list of folders will change (possibly each month).

It would be useful to automate the maintenance of the .fsf files - given the user logon name I can extract the required information from Active Directory regarding their folders - IS IT PERMITTED to edit the .fsf via some method other than viceversa itself? (I'd use a script language probably).

The .fsf file looks like plain text but is there any checksum information imbedded that'll result in a 'corrupted'profile if i edited it by some other means?

Hello,

The profile file is fully editable and it does not have a checksum verification.
If you are using VVEngine, VVEngine disables a profile schedule automatically if changes to the profile settings are detected.

thanks
