|
|
I encounter a frequent annoying issue in backup mode:
- Usually, subfolder deletion is replicated fine.
But, from time to time, a target subfolder is not deleted, with undefined message "[Can not delete folder".
Subfolder content is deleted, but not the subfolder itself)
- Furthermore, on NEXT RUNS, there is no more error messages, but this empty target subfolder is STILL NOT DELETED, which leaves permanent orphan empty folder on target.
- It should not be a user right permission issue, as target drive is a FAT drive.
I worked around these permanent orphan target folders, and found VERY STRANGE behavior :
- if I add content to them, content are deleted but not the folder itself
- if I duplicate, copy, or rename them, I OBTAIN a NEW PERMANENT ORPHAN
- BUT, if I create a new orphan target folder (without copying), it is NOT PERMANENT and is deleted next run. I displayed all folder attributes, and could not see any noticeable difference between TEMPORARY and PERMANENT orphan.
Any idea from experts ? |

No, same behaviour with any target disk
With this kind of answer, I have the strange feeling that your are not committed with fixing bugs...
Is it a end of life software ?
Is there absolutely no more ressource for maintenance and support?
Not sure I will reach the end of trial period |

Hello
Which ViceVersa version are you using ?
Can you reproduce this problem between 2 folders on your c: drive ? If positive please send instructions so we can recreate the problem.
