|
|
I am running the latest VV build 2500 under winsrv2008 SP2
and VVengine 1.1 buld 7.
I use VV to backup my running VM (under Hyper-V) but VV makes my VM crash on a frequent base. Once every day it manage to get the VM down.
THis also happens on another test server with WSRV2008 R2 and HyperV v2.
The profiles ends OK but I am not.In the log file I see a "windows shutting down", is this normal????
Did I make a mistake in the profile/settings somewhere?

Hello
Are you running ViceVersa + VVEngine inside the VM or outside ?
Did you install VVEngine as a service?
The shutting down message should be there only if Windows is really shutting down ... so it's a strange message. The log does not seem to show the profile running.

Yes I am running VV on the host as a service.
Shadow copy works fine, backup's also most of the time.
I have two profiles that automatically backup my VM's. One profile for even days and one for odd days, keeping two seperate backups.
I went throught the log and the "Windows shutdown" is a common line. |

Hello
can you please check if you have multiple VVEngine.log and send them to support@tgrmn.com ?
Regarding the VM crash, any info in the Windows event log ? Is the crash surely caused by the ViceVersa backup ?
