Hi,
I have 2x 2 file servers here that use ViceVersa.
For both the server pairs the idea is the same: 1 server is working, the other one is passive (in case the first one fails)
At 1 server pair viceversa is working perfectly, but at the other one i can't seem to get it working.
It works fine when i log in to the server, but when i log out it fails.
I guess the problem are the credentials. When i check the event viewer of the destination server i see failed login attempts of the viceversa account. It tries to login to the domain with the viceversa account, but that account is a local account.
When i check the working server pair, viceversa logs in with a local account.
I've compared the settings of the working pair with the not-working-pair and they're the same.
- I use UNC paths
- The viceversa account has the correct rights
- The passwords correct (i'm 100% sure i don't have typo's)
- When i do the "test connection" it fails
- I've tried my domain admin account, when i do the test connection with that account it passes BUT it doesn't work when i log out of the server again.
PS. Is there also a manual of viceversa? |

Hi,
- are you scheduling ViceVersa using VVScheduler or VVEngine and under which account?
- are you using the network settings in profile settings -> folders -> network?

- We're using the VVlauncher
- We use the network settings for the credentials. The credentials are correct (i've checked the account and password like 10 times or something) |

Is VVLauncher installed as a service or running as a "normal" program?
What scheduling options did you select in VVLauncher?
