Hi,
I've 2 questions -
1. Today when I was trying to restore some files using an old restore profile which I've used in the past, it did not decrypt and decompress the files. All it did is just copied the files in encrypted and compressed format. The Target was uncompressed under profile settings -> compression/encryption.
So then I created a brand new profile with the same settings as old profile and this time it decrypted and uncompressed the files. Does that mean that old profile can not be used for restoring encrypted and compressed files ?
2. When I created the new restore profile, I purposefully entered wrong password (under profile settings -> compression/encryption) to see what error I get. My password was made of 6 characters and 2 numbers at the end. As long as I kept the first 6 characters same and changed the last 2 numbers, I did not get any error. I tried this 2 more times with 2 different numbers at the end and every time it decrypted the files. Can you pls let me know if this is a bug in the software ?
Thank you. |
