I am a newbie and I have a couple of questions:
Is there a log file I can get to of what happened?
Is there a way to setup exception reporting only within the log procedure?
Is there an e-mail client on viceversa that can send me the log files and/or exception reports?
Thanks |

Hello
>> Is there a log file I can get to of what happened?
Yes, in the project settings you can setup a log file.
>> Is there a way to setup exception reporting only within the log procedure?
The exit code (see help file for more info) will indicate if an exception was present. (VV PRO)
>> Is there an e-mail client on viceversa that can send me the log files and/or exception reports?
In VV PRO you can setup custom scripts both at the beginning and/or at the end of a file sync in the project settings. Exit code is passed to the end script. You can create a script that will send you an E-Mail based on the exit code.

I have never written a script. Do you have an e-mail script sample available that works with vice versa?
Thanks |

The main site mentions QuickBooks, but I see in implicit support for it in the program. So, what does QuickBooks support mean? Is VV able to back up QuickBooks files when they're updated, or does one have to use QB's "Backup" function and save the file into a directory already schedule for backup?

Hi, both will work, but the second method (using the QuickBooks backup function and then mirroring those files with ViceVersa) will also make sure the files are in a 100% consistent state. Otherwise an exact copy will be make of the original QuickBook file as is.
