I have recently had to restore some data from the Compressed and Encrypted ViceVersa backed up files but out of more than 1000 files there is one file that gives me the error “invalid encryption password provided for source. Aborting comparison.”
All of these files restore correctly and were backed up using the same Profile and therefore the same encryption password so there is no way that the password is incorrect.

Why does this happen on only one file and how can I decrypt and get this data back?

It could be that this file is corrupted or encrypted with a different password.
