Am evaluating for a W2003S migration project, looks great so far, need to copy folders, files and perms intact, as the old server is slow am thinking this will involve a Backup to mirror all files S:T in advance, then another Backup to mirror any new files, changed files, renames and deletes from the S to the T ?
Have read up as far as I can but not having used VV before I have a few questions:
1. Read a few articles which say that folders must have same perms S:T - so if I enable copy NTFS perms, seems any file specific perms will be copied over to new server by VV, will sub folder perms also be copied ?
2. Is there any way to limit CPU use on source server ?
3. Is there a way to decompress files when copied to target ?
Any advice much appreciated. |

Yes, if they are part of the same domain.

Yes, see profile settings -> bandwidth

Are you compressing files with ViceVersa compression?
