Dear ViceVersa Developers,
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a new version of ViceVersa has come out, but I find the upgrade price a little too steep. I bought version 2 an April 19, paying USD 105.38 for VV v2 and VVEngine, and now I would owe another USD 39.95 to upgrade?
I do hope an exception can be made for customers who bought v2 recently, or that the upgrade price can be reduced: I will be losing some USD 40 on VV alone just because a bought it a little early.
Yours sincerely,

Afraid it's going to be a bit too steep for me, too. I've been a user of vv2 and vvw since early last year but almost $40 for not even a full version number upgrade seems very high. The only thing I really need from the new version is Windows 7 compatibility but this will cost not much less than the preorder price of Windows 7. I was made redundant nearly 6 months ago after 30 years with the same business so $40 is now a lot to me and I may have to start looking elsewhere or give up syncing. It's a shame as I have loved vv. |

Got to say I concur with the sentiment here. I love VV, rely on it heavily and recommend it consistently to people, but you really shouldn't be charging for non-integer upgrades.
I don't need any of the new features, but I do need stability under Windows 7 but feel loathed to pay $40 just for that alone... |

I will also have to wait for more of an improvement (full version upgrade) before spending my money. I have been using VV Pro since August '08, and haven't fully explored its possibilities. However, I can't see upgrading for some features I don't even need. Most look more technical than I have gotten with the program. It doesn't correct the problems I have with it. You still can't highlight multiple files (like in MS file explorer) to either delete them or copy them from source to target, you have to click on each one individually (very tedious). Highlighting a filename only moves that file name, not the subfolders in it!!!??? It helps me find the differences between source and target, but it doesn't easily allow me to reconcile them manually. I need to do it manually, because blanket sync. would make more changes than I want. |

I love VV Pro, but I'm sorry I'd have to agree. $20 would have been optimal, $30 would have been acceptable. $40 is too high. This is regardless of whether it is a full or partial release (after all, these number increments are pulled out a hat anyway).
I honestly don't know what I'm going to do now, because it's hard for me to justify an extra $40 for my personal use like this (if I were a business, it would be different). |

Dear Vice Versa, Please stop asking us to contact support. The upgrade price you demand for this half version is unfair, exorbitant, and should have just been free to registered users. Asking those of us who take the time to complain to contact support (rather than complain about it in an open forum, obviously) is the wrong way to do things in this users opinion. I've seen a lot of people complain and rightfully so and in each case, you tell them to contact support and eventually delete their post like it never happened. I fell for that back when 2.0 came out, I won't fall for it again. Your users are telling you your upgrade is too expensive. Listen to them. I like your program just as much as the next guy, but you've done wrong by us by asking for this insane upgrade price and I'm sick of reading those testimonials every time I come here to complain about it. And don't think I haven't noticed how the good ones get glued to the top and the criticisms just seem to disappear. |

Hello
We do not delete any negative posts, we only delete duplicate posts.
Which post of yours was deleted before?
(Just to clarify, I have now deleted your other post from today because it was a duplicate post: we can use this thread to discuss the steep update price).
We ask users to contact support, because the may be entitled to a free upgrade if they purchased recently.

$40 for not even a full number upgrade? I know of no other company that does this, or even charges at all for partial number upgrade. I think the program is great, but not great enough to pay for it over and over again.
Something is very wrong in the company if all these protests are not listened to and policy changed. For every single person who protests here, there are no doubt MANY more who just go away, and give you bad press as well. Get a new person in whatever slot makes these decisions.
I realize your real money comes from enterprises. But you need to remember that individuals WORK FOR enterprises and often have a say about software purchases. _________________ CyberCrone |

Hi,
On my workstation in the basement I accidentally hit the check for upgrade under the help menu.
I have V2 build 2015.
So now I'm at day 22 of 30 on the basement PC. Where can I download the V2 build 2015?
Also it would be helpful to have a chart of items in V2.5 vs. V2
What I would pay money for is the following solution:
I have all sorts of projects (20100008; 8th one of the year).
I like to sync them with 3 Hard drives.
One laptop, One workstation, One Fileserver.
Wish I would not have to reset the database each time I do a sync on a new project.
I check back latter this week. |

We have been using VV for years but are not about to pay their extreme upgrade price of $40 to go from version 2.0 to 2.5 when there are minimal new features or capabilities.
can anyone recommend another program? we would rather start fresh with a company that has a little more respect for long-term customers than continue with VV and their upgrade policy.
thanks |
