hi all,

i'm trying to explain my problem in english, i hope you'll understand Wink

i'm matching a folder on the local hdd to one on an external hdd. after choosing "update" and executing, the comparison still shows unmatched files and folders. i found out, that it depends on the way the names of the folders are written: some foldernames have capital letters. vv copied all folders from souce to target and wrote the names with lower case letters. when comparing source and target afterwards, vv does not recognize, that the folders are the ones that match the ones with capital letters.

how can i copy the folders via vv and make sure, the folders are named corectly? or else: how can i make vv recognize the folders the right way?

sorry für the terrible english but it's hard to describe the problem Wink

greets

martin

I copied f:\daten\vorlage to m:\vorlage (m: = USB-HDD)

after same days and some changes, I wanted to check the differences. I found out, that 2 subdirectories where different and appeared on BOTH sides.

So I used "Augment Target" - copy source to target.

After that I checked again and still the same!

Comparison Method: CRC
