I have tested VV to copy our Windows Profile share to a new server / drive. This has worked fine mostly but on closer examination I have found that each users NTUser.dat file on the Target has a date of 2/2/1982!!

The target disk is on a Windows 2008 64bit failover cluster and is a SAN presented disk from an HP EVA SAN.

Any ideas why the copy would have changed the date on just these files?

Regards,

RobL

Hello

are you using VSS when copying files:

Based on the time stamp it looks like that file was in use while copying:

thanks

Many thanks for that reply.

Looks like I may be in for a tricky one here then.

Obvioulsy User Profiles are in use all the time so I may need to find an alternative way of moveing them!

Thanks for your time.

Rob.
