Hi,
the Beta is NOT accepting my 2.0 license. Will I need to upgrade the licence?
I presume the beta will be over within 30 days...

Hello Paolo,
Yes, an upgrade license from 2.0 is needed. The code will be valid for the full 2.5, too, when that's released.
thanks _________________ --

Thanks for the quick reply.
Can you supply an email I can discuss some forum issues off-line with. I've tried all the published ones over the last few days with no response. I realize ow you must have been busy with the Beta release, but I'm having real problems on the forum as I have multiple inactive accounts - this is another I created today as I need to get on.
If you find my other emails, I'd appreciate a response direct.

I see no link for buying an upgrade on the website for 2.5 -- only for v2. How about supplying a link, or will buying the v2 upgrade work, even though I've already bought a v2 upgrade when I upgraded to v2? |

What will the cost of the upgrade be, coming from 2.0?
I just bought a fresh license today for another user of 2.0...will I have to pay for 2.5 for that copy too?

Hello,
It's not a real "upgrade", but a new version with a new licence to buy
The price to upgrade from version 2.0 to 2.5 cost 39.95$ !!!!
A simple question..... Why all bugs corrected, available in the version 2.5 is not free for all 2.0 users ?????
And the list of new functions are not impressive for the cost of the licence.
Last point, every software compagny, translate in every language, ViceVersa stay in english ONLY
Final words ...... too expensive ! |

I do not agree with you "cliqueurfou"!
This software is very powerfull with a lot of goodies. Yes there are some minor bugs but they are well documented on this forum. You know how much it cost in development? Support? Its more than a fulltime job. Go on the web and find some prices for file backup software ex: backup exec @ 900$US. (OK backup exec is not only a file backup software but its a good example).
VVPro upgrade cost is very low at 39$ and most of my SMB clients will go for it.
Keep up good work VVPro team!

Well, I do agree with you cliqueurofou. Astenz must not realize that TGRMN advertised all minor version updates to be free to those of us who paid for v2.0. It's not a matter of programming being a full-time job. It's a matter of honoring your word an making the update for v2.5 free to v2.0 users like they said they would to help make the original sale.
TGRMN says they're charging for the update to 2.5 because they hadn't charged for an update in 3 years. Big damn deal! Tell your designers to stop sitting on their hands and put together a program worthy of being called "v3.0". Then, you could charge for it with integrity. |

We always made minor updates free, please see recent history:
http://www.tgrmn.com/web/forum/viewforumf1.htm
We consider version 2.5 a significant update: it does include many new features, including extended VSS support. If you do not wish to update to version 2.5 because it does not contain enough improvements you could wait for version 3. Version 2 will never stop working.
