Even if I check the option to "Create source/target folders when they do not exist", the backup does not proceed unless the equivalent directory already exists on the Target drive.

How do I set it up such that the required directories get created on the Target if they do not exist?

I also have the same issue.
When I press Execute, I get a message saying "Target folder <bla\bla\bla> not found. Do you want to create it?"
It is true that the target folder does not exist. But I have the create option turned on. BTW this works in other Profiles I have, just not this one. This one copies from Linux Samba shares to local USB external drive.
Oh, this used to work under WinXP... I just reimaged my machine with Windows 7 RC Smile

Here is the log:

Hi, when the option is activated, ViceVersa will still ask if you want to create the target (in manual mode). It will not ask when run silently, scheduled or from VVEngine/VVLauncher.

Ahhhh,
Ya know, I almost tried setting up the schedule and runnning that way with the suspision that it would have worked, but I thought I would check the forum since I know you have lots of good info and always reply quickly to questsions.
Great tool, BTW. I can't tell you how many people I tell about this product especially now that external USB drives are so cheap. It's criminal not to have one if not multiple backups refreshed daily.
On another note I noticed that Microsoft brough back "Backup" in Windows 7. I took a quick look at to see if I could ditch this tool and use instead. Silly me Confused MS Backup takes the "simple minded" approach to backups and treats your system like a black box. If you want fine control of what's backed up and where, ViseVersa Pro is the way to go!!!
