Due to a poor VPN connection between two offices I have been looking at mirroring the data from the main office to a NAS at the remote office who are complaing of slow access to the data at the main office. My questions are:
What license would I need?
Will the mirroring sync both ways
which files would be updated should somebody have a file open at one office & somebody updates it at the remote office.
If Ido an initial data copy (35GB) from the local site to the NAS then take it to the remote site will VV do the sync? (save bandwidth over the slow VPN)
Answers on a postcard please and thanks to any replies. |

Hello

Server license to install on a server OS (e.g. Windows Server 2003 or 2008), otherwise non-server license.

Yes - if you select the sync method. Please see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item27.htm

A conflict would be identified which needs to be resolved manually.

Yes, but make sure the file timestamps are maintained properly in the initial copy. _________________ --
