I'm new to both the OS and the application.

Having come from the Mac community, I'm still trying to convert the terminology to the Windows OS.

I had expected to have a HELP menu in the application to guide me step-by-step to do a simple "copy" of my HD to an external drive.

Can anyone direct me to a site that would give me a step-by-step procedure to copy my HD to the external drive?

Do I really need the VVEngine to do a simple copy?

I'm using the Satellite M305-S4848 with Vista Home Premium (64 bit). I'm using an eSATA connection to the external drive.

If there is no site with simple directions ... can some please post those directions?

Thanks.

Can anybody help?

I found a Help menu ... tried to do a mirror backup only to have ViceVesa freeze up the computer part way through.

The process was simple. My Source was my internal HD and the Target was my external drive. I selected a Mirror backup.

Now I'm trying to get the external drive to be recognized again.

Just for updating this topic: we're discussing the issue via e-mail and it seems the Western Digital drive may have broken (not due to ViceVersa ! Laughing )
