|

I used ViceVersa to sync file shares between an old server in a branch office to a newer server in the same office. Our administrators in that office have slowly done the migration moving users one at a time instead of one share at a time. Now some users are using the old server and some are on the new server. In order to get the users completely off the new server, I need to resync the data they have been using and updating. If I resync the data, will it overwrite the data on the new server that the other users have been using and updating? I am confused on how to go about fixing this. |

yes, it is between old server and new server. some users are on the new server making changes and some on the old. Worried that if I do sync again, it may overwrite new files on new server with old files on old server. what happens if users make changes to xls files on new server and users make changes to the same xls file on the old server? we havent run into that yet but may see it. thanks. |

Hello
With the synchronization method ViceVersa keeps the newer file and copy it over the older file. If a file changes on both sides since the last sync, the file is marked as conflict and it needs to be reconciled manually....
