shorter comparison

Hi. The file comparison take in charge all files in the path A with files in path B.
Is there a way to restrict the scan to A files and then have only B same or missed/different files (and not all B files)?
F.e. if a have to add new files from A to B I need only to scan the A files to see if they are in B.
May be is there a way to do that?
