Hello
SACL are the file/folder NTFS auditing attributes. Copying SACL can be switched-off under profile settings -> advanced settings -> details, the option is called "copy file/folder auditing"

I only need DACLS. I have configured the backup so that this should be the case (I think) i.e. I have checked only copy file permissions [/img] |

Does it go ahead and copy the file without the SACL permisions or does it skip the copy because it can not copy the permissions? |

If copying SACL is enabled, ViceVersa will error out if they can't be copied if the action to perform if file/folder security attributes do not match after copying is set to ERROR (ViceVersa PRO 3) _________________ --

I make copies to a NAS. I have not set to copy the DACL. Nevertheless for a few files I get the error, in full:
"Copying file \\?\C:\Users\...\Documents\ViceVersa PRO\USB_NOP\C_Users_mirror_P.fsf <to> \\?\unc\NAS\Public\W7U\W7U-C\Users\myname\Documents\ViceVersa PRO\USB_NOP\C_Users_mirror_P.fsf (17,45KB) (Overwriting) myname[Can not copy security descriptions (DACL) to file "\\?\unc\NAS\Public\W7U\W7U-C\Users\myname\Documents\ViceVersa PRO\USB_NOP\C_Users_mirror_P.fsf". Access is denied.] [ERROR]."
The same error appears when I make a backup to an external USB drive. |

Hi, can you post your profile settings here please? The .fsf file is a text file, you can open it with a text editor and copy and paste here, thank _________________ --
