A developer emailed me today to say that VV hadn't synch'ed our directories since 3/08/2009, 14 days ago. When I opened VVEngine webpage, I saw that all of the profiles were disabled. The VVEngine service is set to automatically start, and it's status was "Started."
We have VV and VVE installed on 4 servers. All 4 servers had this happen, all on the same day.
Looking further, the time was just before 2:00am. The changeover to Daylight Savings Time looks to be the culprit.
Is this a known issue? Manual intervention needed at DST changeover? |

Old topic but...
VVEngine disables any profile as soon as it is modified by using ViceVersa. Could be the reason? |

Hello
yes, if a profile is modified and saved by ViceVersa, the profile gets disabled by VVEngine, it's by design.

The start of Daylight Savings Time caused this problem again. (I assume it happened last year too but I didn't post it here. It seems consistent.)
Developers contacted me today that nothing had replicated since March 12. Sure enough, the last time the profiles ran was just before the 02:00am DST time change, and all profiles were disabled.

Earlier in this discussion it was said that this is not a known issue. Now it's said it's "fixed" in 2.5.
Since it was an issue that was fixed, can I upgrade to 2.5 at no charge? I only need the bug fixed in the product I already paid for, version 2. I don't need 2.5 features so I don't need to buy it. I just need version 2 but without the bug. |

This fix may have worked for the DLT, but something else must have happened. All my profiles became disabled yesterday at 12:20 something... and I didn't change them. I had to go thru today and get everything back up and running.
Any idea what may have caused that? I have 30+ jobs running hitting multiple servers.. each of them was disabled at the same time yesterday.
I am using VV Engine 2.0 and VVPro 2.5 (build 2502)
any help is appreciated

Please check VVEngine.log and also the Windows Event Log in case VVEngine logged any issues. Let me know what you find, thanks _________________ --
